    Product Description

Because of its special hygroscopic and freezing-point-lowering qualities, calcium chloride (CaCl₂) is a multipurpose industrial salt that is essential in a variety of industries. It works well as a de-icing agent for winter road safety, melting ice at temperatures as low as -52°C. It also helps control dust on unpaved roads and construction sites. Although its use in reinforced concrete is currently restricted due to corrosion risks, it plays a crucial role in the construction industry by speeding up concrete cure times, which are essential for cold-climate builds. CaCl₂ is used as a GRAS firming agent (E509) in food processing to improve the texture and nutritional value of canned vegetables, cheese, and sports drinks. It is essential for treating water and wastewater because it helps remove phosphate, sulfate, and fluoride.
